I love taupe and grey-beige (also known as greige) lacquers, so I zoned in on this shade when I was polish shopping at ULTA last week. I was a bit worried that the light brown shade might look dirty or washed out on my nails, but it’s quite the opposite: It’s a muted hue in a shiny finish that looks chic and sleek. It flatters my skin tone and looks great against the warm tone of my gold rings. I’m sold.

Also, a quick note on gel manicures: For those of you considering gel nail polish, I highly recommend Axxium from OPI. My Axxium manicure had zero dry time, looked perfect, and stayed shiny and chip-free for more than two weeks. It would have surely lasted longer, but I got eager to change up my color. I’ve heard horror stories about removal of gel polish, but I just bought pure acetone at Sally Beauty Supply and patiently soaked my tips until the polish could be rubbed off. It wasn’t easy as pie, but it was worth the extra time for such a durable manicure. I didn’t take any good pictures, so I can’t write a solid post on Axxium alone, but I loved the results so much I thought it was worth mentioning. I went with Black Cherry Chutney, and I loved it!
