Today marks one month as husband and wife.
On September 4, Dan and I exchanged vows, exchanged rings, exchanged a kiss, and finally became Mr. and Mrs. Salter. It was a perfect day.
It’s hard to believe that it has only been a month, because these past 31 days have been packed with enough milestones and memories to fill many months: It’s been a whirlwind from our wedding weekend in my hometown to our Aruba honeymoon to a family wedding in Hannibal and finally, our friends’ wedding this past weekend back in Chicagoland. Yes, that’s three weddings and one honeymoon in four weeks! Our first month of married life has been filled with joy and celebration, to say the least.
I wanted to share more of my wedding planning leading up to the day, but I also didn’t want to share any advice until the wedding had come and gone, and I’d learned what worked and what didn’t work. Now that I’ve lived through the entire engagement, planning, and wedding experience, I plan to share more about our wedding and my DIY wedding planning process. Blogs and online articles were such a godsend as I planned my wedding on my own, and I’d love to help out another bride if I can. I receive my wedding photos back in mid-November and plan to share more about the day then. Stay tuned! I’m excited to relive the best day of my life on this little corner of the internet.
